1. Aloe vera
While aloe vera gel on its own may not be able to completely remove a scar that has appeared on your skin, it's moisturising and soothing properties ensure that it lessens the severity of a scar. Aloe Vera has anti-inflammatory properties that help fight the redness left behind by acne breakouts. Aloe vera is able to penetrate deeply into the skin and helps increase the amount of collagen produced by the skin to promote healing.
Aloe vera gel when applied to skin, is also known to fight bacteria. It can be particularly effective when combined with clove-basil oil. Simply scrape the gel out of the aloe leaves with a spoon and apply to the skin. It might work better if mixed with another acne treatment. Repeat 1-2 times per day, or as desired.
2. Coconut oil
Coconut oil can be rather effective is getting rid of scars by acting as a thick, moisturising barrier as the skin heals. The Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants in coconut oil have been shown to inhibit keloid scar tissue and repair skin. Because coconut oil is very effective at moisturising the skin, it forms an integral part of a regimen built to help minimize scarring. Simply apply coconut oil to the skin two to three times a day and let it soak in. It'll keep the skin supple and help prevent scarring or keep a scar from getting too large.
Coconut oil is also said to help boost collagen production. Not only could increasing collagen in the skin help with fine lines, it could also help minimize scarring by binding new skin tissue together.
3. Lemon
The citric acids in lemon have natural bleaching properties that can help reduce dark spots and pigmentation and improve skin tone. Lemon has the healing properties that your skin needs while trying to get rid of scars. It aids in new cell growth and helps give your skin its elasticity back. Lemon also contains alpha hydroxy acids, which works wonders for skin that is trying to heal. The AHA in lemon juice removes dead skin cells and helps new cells grow.
Mix 2 parts lemon juice with 3 parts water, and with the help of a cotton dab, apply it as a cleanser on the face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water.
