4 Methi Hair Packs For Long, Healthy Hair

Try the magic of fenugreek for your tresses.

Along with long, flowing tresses, it's imperative for them to be healthy and strong as well. Besides a strict hair care routine and nutritious food, what else can be done? Putting your faith in fenugreek, that's what! Popularly known as methi, fenugreek is a famed kitchen condiment that has a superstar status when it comes to getting long hair. Try these 5 hair packs to know how to use methi for your hair.

1. The Lemon Pack

Soak 3 tablespoons of methi seeds in a mug of cold water overnight. The next morning, mash them to form a paste and combine this with 4 tablespoons of lemon juice. Apply this mixture over your scalp, leave it for 45 minutes, then wash off with cold water. Not only will this encourage healthy hair growth, it will cleanse the scalp as well.

2. The Coconut Oil Mask

Grind 3 - 4 tablespoons of dry methi seeds in a blender into a powder. Mix this with 5 tablespoons of warm coconut oil. Massage this mixture over the scalp and apply the remaining to the lengths of your hair. Leave it for 2 hours then wash away with warm water. This hair pack will curb hair fall and breakage so that the strands grow to be healthy and long.

3. The Curd Pack

In a cup filled with 5 tablespoons of curd, soak 3 tablespoons of methi seeds overnight. In the morning, blend them to form a thick paste. Apply this paste all over the roots and massage it in well. Leave it in the hair for an hour, then wash with warm water. While the good bacteria in curd reduces scalp infection, methi increases hair growth from the follicle.

4. The Sesame Oil Pack

Comments

Finely chop a handful of fresh mint leaves and keep aside. In a bowl, heat 5 tablespoons of sesame oil and add the mint leaves to it as well as 2 tablespoons of methi seeds. Once the methi seeds start to crackle, turn off the stove and let it cool. Strain the oil and apply it all over the scalp and lengths. Mint and sesame oil work to combat any bacteria infecting the scalp while methi goes within the follicle to enhance growth.
