Those who didn't stock up on the scrubs, deodorants and creams might find their bottles reaching the bottom, leaving them breaking into a sweat. Instead of relying on store-bought products when quarantined at home, why not make them yourself? It is possible to DIY more than just face packs and hair masks. Those who are low on skincare and hair care supplies can try these handy do-it-yourself beauty recipes.

Homemade Beauty Products For Your Skin
Go the natural route with these homemade beauty products
1. Brown Sugar And Shea Butter Lip Scrub
Combine 1 tablespoon of granulated brown sugar with 1 tablespoon of shea butter and honey in proportion to turn the mixture into a thick paste. Rub it gently over your lips to slough flakiness and chapped skin away in seconds.
2. Vitamin E Under Eye Gel
Poke a hole in the contents of 2-3 vitamin E capsules and squeeze it in a bowl. To this add 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel. Use when freshly made and apply to the under eye area to nourish the delicate skin, de-puff and cool it.
3. Mint Facial Toner
Brew a handful of mint leaves in hot water and turn it off when it begins to boil. Allow it to cool and store in a spritz bottle to keep it refrigerated. Spray to refresh heated, fatigued, sunburned skin and store for up to a week.
4. Moisturiser For Dry Skin
Use a double boiler to melt 5-6 tablespoons of solid shea butter. Keep it aside to cool once it has melted. Add 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil and 3-4 drops of an essential oil of your choice to it. Whip it well till it forms a creamy blend, then store in a container in shade. Use over dry hands and legs to moisturise them.
5. Moisturising Bathing Soap Bars
In a double boiler, melt 500 grams of soap base till it becomes liquid. Add to it 4-5 drops of essential oils like geranium and avocado. Mix well and pour in the molds. Allow it to cool for a day, then cure for 2 weeks. Add it to your bathing routine to wash your body.
