Our quest for a perfect, well-set beauty routine is never-ending. The beauty world is ever-so-wide and has so much to offer and we are coping with it. For a regular beauty fanatic like us, hopping onto trends and hacks seems interesting but can get quite overwhelming with what works and what does not, what is worth it and what is just a waste of time. But there are some beauty tricks that enter our lives that in their simplicity make us wonder why we never discovered them sooner! We stumbled upon a few of those beauty hacks that we wish we knew sooner but now that we know, we bet it will become a game-changer in your routine too!
1. Moisturise Right After Shower
By now we know that hydrating ingredients work more effectively when applied on damp skin. It is best to moisturise your skin while you are in the shower to let your skin perfectly absorb the goodness of it and work even better.
2. Chemical Exfoliants Help In Dealing With Odour
We bet you didn't know that! Apart from helping with exfoliation, some chemical exfoliants are also known to deal with body odour. You can simply apply some of it on a cotton pad and apply it on the underarms. Since underarms are a sensitive area, don't overuse them, just a little bit is good enough.
3. Never Apply Under-Eye Products Right 'Under' The Eye
It is always feasible to apply the under-eye products a little far from the under-eye as applying them right under it or over the eyes is considered very close to the eyeball. There are many muscles around the area so just in case you apply them directly on the lids or right under, it can cause irritation. The best way to apply them is to apply them on your orbital bone.
4. Layering Needs To Be Precise
You absolutely can't be layering anything onto your face. Even in your CTM routine, the ingredients of your different essentials should be paired consciously for them to work. For example, you can't layer Niacinamide and Vitamin C, though they are antioxidants but should not be used one over the other.
5. Makeup Coverage Of Every Product Should Be The Same
Did you know that the finish of every makeup product that you layer should be the same? For example, if you want to achieve a dewy finish and are going for a water-based primer, make sure you are going for a water-based foundation, followed by cream-based products to keep your look together. For instance, if you are opting for a full matte look with a Charlotte Tilbury foundation, you absolutely need a concealer that has the same sort of coverage to make your look last longer.
6. Don't Shampoo Instantly
Contrary to popular belief, you should not wash off your shampoo from your scalp too quickly. It has ingredients that help in cleansing the scalp perfectly. Let it settle for a few minutes before you rinse and you will know the difference.
