The words 'skin goals' are often used pretty lightly but when it comes to Aditi Rao Hydari, we mean it in every sense of the words. The Bollywood actress is famous for her power-packed performances on-screen, as well as her grace off it. In any photo of hers that you catch a glimpse of, you'll instantly notice her incredible beauty. With striking eyes and a glowing complexion, sparking a conversation about skin secrets was only natural. Aditi is also a collaborator at The Luxe Life by Tata Cliq Luxury so when NDTV Swirlster chatted with the star, we spoke about everything from luxurious lifestyle touches to homemade beauty recipes.
NDTV Swirlster: What part of the skinimalism trend appeals to you the most?
Aditi Rao Hydari: Honestly, I can't follow trends because by the time I hear of a trend it's done and dusted. I'm curious and I keep learning things. If something works for me, I stick with it. I've always loved to keep my skin clean and fuss-free and concentrate on my own kind of skincare.
NDTV Swirlster: Why is The Luxe Life an important platform for you to be a part of?
Aditi Rao Hydari: Because luxury is not only about external material things. To me, it's about finding beauty in your everyday life and valuing it. I feel this more today than before.
NDTV Swirlster: What are your thoughts on how important skincare became versus makeup during the pandemic?
Aditi Rao Hydari: I've always believed that I should give more time to skincare than makeup. I barely use any makeup whether on screen or in my everyday life and so I have to look after my skin a lot.
NDTV Swirlster: How important are internal factors versus external factors when it comes to skincare?
Aditi Rao Hydari: Very important. The weather, altitude, the environment, pollution, the sun, and even wind, your moods, people around you - everything affects the skin.
NDTV Swirlster: Which are the skincare rituals you follow to get your skin looking so good?
Aditi Rao Hydari: It's mostly kitchen remedies for me. I love raw milk or curd as mixers for the various concoctions I make. I do this on days I remember and have time.
NDTV Swirlster: What are 3 beauty products you never skip in your routine?
Aditi Rao Hydari: Washing my face with chickpea flour is one, using some milk on my face is the second and finally, it's the micro essence by L'Oreal.
