Beyonce is that girl. You know, the one who makes every challenge look like a cakewalk. Winning the most Grammy awards than anybody in its history is proof enough that she has conquered the music world. Making Cowboy chic a summer fashion trend with her country music album release cemented her style icon status. Now Beyonce is going natural to continue her hold over the beauty sphere. In her latest post on Instagram, the musician posted a refreshingly natural video of herself getting her hair washed and styled with her voiceover taking us through. In the video, her long, arm-length tresses are washed and conditioned with a focus on their coiled texture, which is typical of hair of African-American origin. Beyonce's natural hair is dark at the roots, with a lighter shade streaking its length. Hair products from Cecred, her hair brand, are interspersed in the routine to moisture and style the hair with a wide-tooth comb and good old hands to maintain its natural texture without adding frizz. The video continued with Beyonce's hair getting blow-dried, straightened and then further curled into large, bouncy locks.

In her caption, she elaborated, "Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me. My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years...Maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair through all the experimenting I do has played a huge part in developing @cecred's products. It's the hardest to keep color-treated hair healthy and strong, but @cecred is here."
Blonde hair is notoriously difficult to maintain, especially for those with naturally dark hair colour who have opted for lightened honey hues. In the recent past, Beyonce's striking platinum blonde hair colour has led to speculation about the condition of her natural African-American hair and what it really looks like beneath the possible weaves and wigs. Putting the rumours to rest, Beyonce said in her voiceover, "The stigma and misconception is that people who wear wigs don't have long and healthy hair. That's some b*****t because it ain't nobody's business."
All it took was one wash for Beyonce to confirm that everybody can keep their hair on because hers certainly looked fabulous.
