Dame Helen Mirren can take any red carpet by storm. Her tremendous acting chops may have won accolades, her fashion sensibilities have been quite underrated. Not anymore as her Cannes 2023 look is testament to that. The L'Oreal Paris ambassador walked the red carpet at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival with utmost grace. Known to break ageist stereotypes, Helen Mirren, debuted a stylish blue hair colour at the premiere of Jeanne du Barry. Her double bun messy hairstyle was not only iconic but also bold, which shattered age-based beauty standards. Her hairdo, showcasing multiple hues in the shade blue, also served as a theme for her Cannes 2023 look.

Helen Mirren slipped into a sky-blue Del Core gown, featuring a V-cut neckline. The floor-sweeping number had full sleeves and stylish wrap-around details, to give a dramatic touch to her red carpet outfit. The pastel blue manicure complemented her fashion outing. For accessories, she stayed true to the diamonds with a choker-style necklace and drop earrings. Silver platform heels and a black fan with the hashtag “#WorthIt” accompanied her look. Her glam was minimal with subtly blushed cheeks and glossy pink lips.

This wasn't the first time Helen Mirren surprised fans with brightly coloured tresses, which matched her ensemble at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2019, she walked the red carpet in a sensational Elie Saab gown. The embellished full-sleeve number was teamed with diamond earrings and minimal glam, consisting of kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lips. But, it was her cotton candy pink tresses which stole the show.
Helen Mirren attended the movie premiere on Tuesday. She was accompanied by Jeanne du Barry co-star Johnny Depp, Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas, Elle Fanning, and Naomi Campbell.
