Katrina Kaif has been having a very busy quarantine even at home. Along with strumming on the guitar to cleaning the house to enjoying the weekend with game nights, the Bollywood actress and makeup entrepreneur is also solving makeup queries like a beauty pro. On another episode of Kat Gets Kandid, she tackled the tough question of how to cover acne scars and skin redness.
Sharing her expertise, Katrina says, "Sometimes redness isn't due to acne or scarring; it's just the redness of your skin. Some people have rosacea which can be red. A makeup tip I've learned from a lot of makeup artists is using a green colour corrector." She explains how to use it, continuing, "Apply green colour corrector over redness wherever it may be over the skin and blend it. On top of that you can use a concealer or foundation and that should take care of the redness completely."
Katrina is citing the technique of colour correction in makeup which uses opposing shade to neutralise skin discolouration. Like green colour corrector for redness, similarly orange can be used for dark brown circles and purple can be used for dullness. Whatever your skin issue, these colour correctors can come to your aid.
Without a doubt, acne is one of the most difficult skin problems to treat, physically and emotionally. Even after the pimple passes, the scars, spots and pitting it leaves behind is whole other worry. Skin care products can also come to the aid of those on a budget to reduce acne scarring and redness. We've picked a few that can be of help if you suffer from any of these skin worries.
