One of the most influential faces in recent times has been Kim Kardashian. Whether you love her or hate her, one thing is for certain, you can't ignore her. While the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan lives in the spotlight, it's Kim who is definitely the most famous of them. Even though contouring existed for centuries, it was Kim's sculpted look that brought back the trend and made it a craze a few years ago. And for that, we've got to thank Mario Dedivanovic, the man behind her look.
Mario is practically a celebrity himself and while he does glam up celebrities like Ariana Grande and Hailee Steinfeld too, he has been an integral part of the reality mogul's look since he first met her in 2008. Back then, the family hadn't been thrust into the spotlight yet and he went out on a limb but the rewards,quite evidently, have been immense. That's why life has come full circle for the duo as Mario and Kim Kardashian announced a makeup collaboration for her makeup brand, KKW.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Mario revealed how he was warned against working with his now-muse Kim - "10 years ago, on April 5th, 2008 I met Kim Kardashian on a cover shoot...I began working with some singers and actresses around this time & then I met Kim and began to work with her often. The idea of a reality star at the time was new... I had an agent who demanded that I stop working with Kim immediately. They said I would ruin my career and my career would end within a year or 2. That all of my hard work and struggles until then would be for nothing... I refused. I chose to stick with Kim because it felt right in my heart... When I parted ways with my agency, one of the last things they said to me was "good luck, Mario because you will never get a Vogue cover working with her." Swipe left to see how that turned out. Mario collaborates with many beauty brands regularly and even has an eyeshadow palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills, aptly called the Master palette. But we're guessing that the backstory isn't quite as insightful as his with Kim. The new collection is called KKW x Mario and will include a creme lipstick, two lip glosses and a 10 shade eyeshadow palette with mostly neutral tones and a pop of blue. It's always exciting to see two powerhouses like them come together and if the Kardashian knack for selling out everything in a hot second is anything to go by, we'd sit by our computers on April 5 if we were you.
