By now, everyone and their mothers are on the sheet mask bandwagon. I mean, what completes a cosy night-in better than a sheet mask on the face and reruns of your favourite TV show? Nothing, we think. If you're looking for your sheet mask fix and haven't bought a packet or don't want to shell out for it, here's how you can make one yourself. Follow these steps and you'll be masking in no time!
What you'll need:
A fibrous cotton sheet
Rose water
Argan oil
Glycerin
Tea tree oil
A shallow bowl
Method:
Step 1 - In a shallow bowl, mix together 4 tablespoons of rose water and 2 tablespoons of glycerin. Once combined, keep the mixture aside.
Step 2 - In a separate bowl, mix together 3 drops of tea tree oil and 5 drops of argan oil. Combine the oils so that they mix together.
Step 3 - Pour the oil mixture into the shallow bowl and combine it with the rose and glycerin mixture. Stir them thoroughly so that mix well. Then keep it aside in a cool place away from sunlight.
Step 4 - Make sure the sheet you've chosen is soft and highly absorbent so that it can hold the mask solution. Place it over your face and make markings at the eyes, nostrils and mouth. Once you've removed it, use scissors to cut slits on the areas you've marked.
Step 5 - Once your cutouts are made, place the sheet mask flat in the shallow bowl and leave it to soak for 15 minutes in a cool corner of your kitchen.
CommentsStep 6 - Align the cutouts according to your eyes and mouth, place it on your face and sit back and enjoy all that juicy mask goodness. With rose water, glycerin, tea tree and argan oil, this DIY sheet mask is ideal for hydrating and refreshing tired, dry skin.
