1. Rubbing Too Much Ice Can Damage Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin is already quite reactive to many stimuli and this might add to it. Icing your skin can cause dryness and redness. First things first, absolutely avoid dunking your face in a bowl of ice. If you really need to apply ice over your face, then wrap a thin towel around the ice before applying it.
2. Do Not Apply Ice Directly After Being In The Sun
We love the nice cooling sensation of ice after being in the sun but this one is a big no-no. Clearly, there is a temperature switch as you come inside from the heat and then applying ice will lead to headaches due to capillary damage and can even cause irritation on the skin.

3. It Does Not Fix Long Term Skin Concerns
While your skin might feel refreshed, and rejuvenated, but this is clearly temporary. For a fresh pimple, we often turn to ice to soothe it but this isn't the best way in the long run. Ice therapy might sound like the best decision but when thought through, it can have quite some drawbacks. Ice affects the flow of blood when applied and when necessary, is fine to use. 5. It Can Cause Frostbite
Frostbite is often caused when something extremely cold is directly placed on the skin for a long period of time. Ice burns can also occur if done too often which can further lead to skin damage and can even make the skin deprived of oxygen.
