If you've got two left thumbs where makeup is concerned, it can get unnerving to watch women waltz into work with immaculate eye makeup. Well, you don't need to get jealous for a second more because we're showing you how to do simple eye makeup for a daytime look, even if you aren't a makeup pro.
Step 1 - Apply a layer of primer to your eyelid and under eye area. This will hold your makeup in place and prevent it from creasing for hours to come.
Step 2 - Next, use a narrow applicator brush to apply a matte eyeshadow that's similar to your skin tone all over your lid and brow bone area. This will create an even base for eye makeup to come.
Step 3 - Use a fluffy applicator brush to apply a deep brown or bronze-toned eyeshadow into your crease area. Opt for a shade that's slightly darker than your skin tone to create a shadow-like look in the crease. Blend this shadow in well so that no edges are visible.
Step 4- Over the centre of the lid, use your fingers or a firm brush to pack on a light gold shadow. Use the previous brush to blend the darker shadow with the gold shade.
Step 5 - Dab the gold shadow over your tear ducts in the inner corners and over the brow bone as well.
Step 6 - Apply black eyeliner in a single line as close to the upper lash line as possible. At the outer end, extend it into a tiny triangular wing.
Step 7 - Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and apply mascara over them.
All you need are these 7 steps to look like a dreamboat for your day out in no time!
