It is in the context of the world we live in, in which many sharpen their lenses and jump at the first opportunity to scrutinise the lives and looks of celebrities, that stars like Salma Hayek remain unfazed. Her latest post on Instagram is a series of throwback photos of her early days when she was at the peak of her achieving her "symbol of attraction" status. Not only does she live up to the title by wearing nothing at all, but she is also a pathbreaker with body hair visible on her arms at a time when laser hair removal treatments are sold as cheap as chips. Salma Hayek embraces this natural process often deemed "unattractive" in the most seamless way possible lest we mention, also desirable.

Botox and fillers have become the reality we live in. With its growing popularity reaching every nook and corner of the world, Salma Hayek claims to swim against the tide. Early last year, Hayek spoke to Kelly Ripa in her podcast Let's Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa and revealed she has "no botox" after pressing questions the people of the internet often throw at her. "I have a lot of health issues and things in my body, and I developed this weird meditation that I keep changing. I can do it for hours because time doesn't matter to me, and it's so fun," said the star. However her meditation practice is not the picture of silence that you imagine. She continued, "It's actually feeling the energy. It moves and it dances inside of you, with different sensations and emotions. So I use a lot of the frequency machines."
Not sure about apples but this youth potion as revealed in yet another interview also keeps the doctors and ageing away. She opened up about drinking a cup of bone broth every day admitting that it may be "sort of disgusting" but is packed with lots of benefits for the hair, skin and nails.

Salma Hayek lives by one principle, "If you've got it, flaunt it" and if her Instagram profile is already not proof of it, we don't know what is. At 56, she is never shy to take a "dip in the ocean" in one of her many bikini sets that highlight her trim waistline and svelte physique. Exercise does wonders for the body and the skin as well due to the increased blood circulation it promotes. We don't know if it takes a village or not for Salma Hayek to look as good but we're sure she will let us in on it someday soon.
Salma Hayek probably didn't even imagine that she would achieve icon status but thanks to her candid nature, she continues to remain just that.
