You may be used to seeing actresses on-screen or even looking their glamourous best on social media. That all changed when COVID-19 brought every kind of film-related event to a halt. The celebrities of Bollywood have much more time on their hands, which means the freedom to do everything their busy schedules don't generally allow them to. For Salman Khan and Tara Sutaria, it's painting. For Alia Bhatt, it's burying her nose in a book. For a whole lot of their celebrity pals, it's cooking. The rich and famous tinseltowners may not have to rely on their cooking and baking skills on a daily basis but weeks quarantined at home are letting them experiment in the kitchen.

These B-towners are having a blast and cooking up a storm during the Coronavirus quarantine.

1. Malaika Arora

Malaika Arora's busy schedule may not allow her to cook frequently but when she can, she loves it. She first made a divine vegetable stew by merging recipes from her mom Joyce and friend Maunika. It was served with vegan and gluten-free bread. But that isn't all of Malaika's kitchen experiments. She also made a ragi rava dosa with help from her pal Saransh Goila with multiple bowls of sides.

2. Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani too joined in when she whipped up a healthy bowl of oats, topped with bananas, dates and a number of mixed seeds. After all, eating healthy does start at home.

3. Shilpa Shetty

And while we're talking about healthy eating, Shilpa Shetty couldn't be far behind. The fitness fanatic used her time to make granola bars at home and shared a recipe for them. Perfect for the mid-day snacking, we think!

4. Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon gave us some tips from her experience in the kitchen, which she calls 'KriticalCooking'. Post making dark chocolate chia pudding, she said warned not to try and turn a dessert into a salad by adding healthy ingredients. Wise words indeed!

5. Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam has been riding the wave of success in the kitchen. After brown rice idlis, coconut chutney and dark chocolate cake, she successfully made her own gluten-free bread - post 2 failed attempts, she reveals.

That's inspiration enough to fire up the stove and get chopping like our favourite Bollywood actresses.
