We have all been there, haven't we? Wondering whether it is a good idea to be friends with an ex, to talk to an ex, to try and rekindle things with an ex, or worse, to maybe sleep with an ex again. The last one seems quite tempting doesn't it? To have a no-strings-attached arrangement with an ex where its maximum output, minimum input - well at least emotionally. Also, it is such a comfortable, convenient arrangement, isn't it? No muss, no fuss.
But then we wonder, is this really a good idea? Can it be pulled off without any problems arising? Fraught with potential loopholes and problems, is this really a road to take?
Ask yourself these questions first.
Are you sure you won't fall for them again?
A lot of time should have passed before you consider this idea, enough time for you to know that you are over your ex and therefore you will be able to sleep with them without any feelings arising again. This is essential and needs to be thought out hard and with due honesty.
Are you the kinds who can have sex without emotional involvement?
If you are the kinds who can't separate physical involvement and romance then maybe this might not be a good route for you to take. Only people who know and understand that sex can be separated from romantic involvement can probably pull this whole thing off.
Are you expecting anything more than sex?
If you are going into the whole thing thinking that it will develop into something more, maybe friendship or even romance, then stop right there. Step back. Because he will not text you the next day to ask how you are, and he probably won't cuddle after sex either.
Afterthought: if you guys actually go ahead and do it, please don't cuddle after. Experienced advice.
