1. You look forward to seeing each other
Whether it's once a day, everyday or once a week, the time that you get to spend with each other is something that you look forward to. Even if it means doing nothing together, you're excited to see your partner and just be in their company. On most days, spending time with them is something you'd rather do over and above everything else. If you get excited about making plans with your partner and get bummed when you have to cancel, you have a good thing going.
2. You fight, but you don't quit without a solution
Every couple has fights, that's normal. If you never have fights with your partner, you're most likely holding back on things you actually should be addressing. So fighting is actually sometimes necessary. But when couples in healthy relationships fight, they fight to find a solution to an issue. The fight is fair and productive. Even if the fight might lunge into a series of blames in between, the conclusion will always be one that is conducive to the health of the relationship. That means that by the end of the discussion, you actually do try to understand each other rather than end the fight with the intention of simply being proven right.
3. You feel a sense of gratitude and joy
Healthy relationships are full of laughter and joy. That in no way means that you're giddy with delight all the time or that you never drive each other up the wall. Of course you do. But having your partner in your life and experiencing life's small moments together makes you feel happy and grateful. You appreciate all that they do for you and feel appreciated by them.
