New romantic relationships are hard to handle for a lot of people - the excitement comes with a lot of stress and anxiety, some insecurities and a lot of wondering where things are, and where they are going. Sometimes we are guilty of putting so much pressure on a new relationship that we kill it before it can blossom. Sure we get over that eventually (mostly by telling ourselves that the person didn't understand our thought process). But it might be too much to expect out of a new person, eh?
There are a few things we can do to let a new relationship blossom and not ruin it before things can go anywhere. Here's what to keep in mind.

Don't ask them where it is going too soon
You have gone out on a few dates and everything is going well. But your anxiety gets the better if you and you are tempted to ask the person if it is going somewhere. Don't. There is a time when you can ask this question, not now. Especially if it is all positive response from the other person.

Don't keep texting and/or calling them
People want to know that they are with someone who can give them their space and have a life of their own. You come on too strong as a person who doesn't respect that and you will be shown the door a little too soon.

Don't pretend to be someone you aren't

Lying doesn't go a long way if you are in something for the long run. You might as well call it off right now. Sometimes people project themselves to be something they aren't and eventually the other person finds out and it is a whole mess. Don't put yourself or the other person through that.
