In our rapidly evolving, tech-aided world, dating is complicated enough with its endless dating terms and trends that one has to keep track of. But did you know that these trends and terms have a colour-coded system as well? We have heard much about red and green flags, but here's another one that has been getting all the buzz; the beige flag. This term which gained popularity on TikTok is apparently a cross between a red and green flag. It implies a quality, behaviour or attribute that is not exactly a deal breaker but not a pro either. These beige flags may comprise some habits of your partner that put you off but not enough to call it quits. In fact, they are pegged as signs that the person one is dating will likely turn out to be dull or boring. Many have responded to the trend by pointing out their own partner's beige flags and revealing their quirky habits or traits that rub them the wrong way.
Beige flags can vary from having an opinion on pineapple pizza to dunking Oreos in water instead of milk, or talking while watching a movie. These essentially are habits that may be considered odd or off-norm and can be mildly annoying to a partner. These are also very subjective and can vary from person to person so what may feature on one list may not feature on another. Which also begs the question of tolerance. Is this social media generation too quick to judge? Here are what some comments reveal.

Another one was, "First of all using colours to represent your perspectives is already hyped...If you want to date or not is the only two options and on that if your perspectives and thought process match then rishta banaaiye or aage badiye...Red, blue, green yellow beige..."
