Few can disagree that grandparents are a treasure trove of affection and wisdom in our lives and this holds true for our favourite Bollywood grandparents too. While stars often share adorable moments of spending time with their children and spouses, they rarely capture or share moments of grandparent-grandkid bonding. We've listed a few exceptions and explored their views on grandparent-bonding time
Sara Ali Khan is all about family time and she often posts about spending time with family. Her moments with Grandma Sharmila were aptly captured in this reel she posted earlier this month. SSong, moon and smiling faces summarised their time spent together in that video posted on June 1. Sara captioned the post, "Special day" making clear the strong bond that the two share and how much she values it. Earlier today she posted an image with her nani with the caption "Because your roots matter."
Soha Ali Khan recently took to Instagram to share a series of images to talk about why time spent with grandparents is “so precious" with appearances of her daughter Inaaya and mother Sharmila Tagore. Little Inaaya and her grandma have captured bonding in their daily routine of performing yoga, reading the newspaper and even chasing butterflies. According to Soha, spending time with grandparents is a chance to learn from someone so far apart in years. It also gives them a second chance at parenting as well. The actress describes the relationship with grandparents as the “most unconditional love and purest fun.”

Agastya and Navya Naveli Nanda - children of Shweta Bachchan, as well as Aaradhya Bachchan - daughter of Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Time and again, the legendary actor shares adorable pictures with his grandchildren. In this one, Amitabh shared a picture-perfect moment featuring him along with his wife Jaya Bachchan and all three grandchildren. His caption reads "Grand children .. Grand parents ... and the arrangement of the metal casts at the back of the picture, have not been deliberately done according to the seating arrangement in front of them ... happens ..." Humour never fails to appeal to multiple generations.
Another benefit that comes from grandparent-grandchild time is that grandparents tend to be more liberal-minded and lenient with their grandkids in a way that they weren't with their children or even themselves. Jaya Bachchan corroborates this in conversation with granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda during the first season of her podcast, 'What The Hell Navya' . She said, "I have no problem if you have a child without marriage." In the same podcast, she also confessed that during 'our times we couldn't experiment' and that the physical aspect of relationships is ‘very very important'.

Kareena Kapoor's Instagram handle is filled with pictures of her "little men" or so she likes to call them and more than often one can find them all playing or in the arms of their grandparents. Kareena Kapoor has often made a conscious effort to ensure her kids spend quality time with their grandparents. Even after family trips, the final destination for Jeh and Taimur is mostly always in the arms of their grandmother Babita Kapoor over brunches, presumably to tell their grandma all about their wonderful trip with a sparkle in their eyes.
Neetu Kapoor loves spending time with her two lovely granddaughters Samara Sahni, daughter of Riddhima Kapoor and Bharat Sahni and the newest addition, Raha Kapoor, daughter of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. From performing day-to-day activities to sharing life updates, Samara has time and again been featured on the Instagram timeline of the veteran actress. One can see them dancing or practising yoga and that just goes to show that learning has no age. For now, we'll probably just have to wait a little longer to catch a glimpse of Raha, but we're sure Raha leaves Neetu Kapoor in absolute awe every time.
Time is the most expensive gift you can give your children especially when they're decorated with pearls of wisdom. These Bollywood celebs give their little ones aplenty with grandparent time.
