It really does seem to be the month of love for Bollywood. Yesterday, we woke up to Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor acting uncharacteristically mushy on social media, and today, it seems to be Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh's turn. The couple is celebrating their fifth anniversary today, and seem to be as madly in love now as they did when they met, 15 years ago, on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam.
Expressing her happiness and love for Riteish, Genelia shared a picture on Instagram, with the caption, "Sometimes just sometimes in our ordinary, mundane, boring lives GOD gives us a fairytale and that fairytale for me is our story.. Happy Anniversary to the man who still makes me fall in love with him everyday.. I Love You @riteishd."
Looking at Genelia's bubbling-with-happiness grin, you'd have no doubt believing she means every word she wrote. Responding to her sweet message of love, Riteish, in his signature, dry, witty style posted an even more loving photograph, writing, "To my partner, my friend, my everything. Happy Anniversary Baiko. Life is good because you are in it..." He finished off the post with a couplet from a popular romantic Bollywood song: tum mile, dil khile, aur jeene ko kya chahiye.
Watching Genelia and Riteish exchange sweet nothings so publicly was surprising, considering both actors like to maintain a fairly low-key presence on social media. While Riteish has been known to post a few love posts here and there, once in a while, this was a completely unexpected move from Genelia. Love makes even Bollywood celebrities lose their heads and behave out of character, we guess. Whatever be the reason for their surprise exchange, we hope the Genelia and Riteish stay this crazy about each other, always. The world (and we!) could always do with more love and its expression.
