You might think that an LBD or a pair of your trusty juttis is the most versatile piece in your wardrobe but no. It's the white t-shirt. To prove to you that you can wear this staple anywhere and everywhere, I experimented with it for 5 days at a stretch. (Of course, I washed it every single day at night!)
Day 1:
I have this gorgeous vintage gingham dress which was handed down to me by my bua. That basically suggests that it's at least 21 years old. It's been lying in my cupboard since forever and I have been way too lazy to get it altered. So all I did for my first day of the 5 day challenge was, tie my white tee in a knot over it and ta-da!
Day 2:
Since corset belts are all the rage, I belted up my tee for day 2. Wore a pair of flared denims and peach coloured mules - to add a little bit of colour and amp up the otherwise basic look!
Day 3:
I have a soft corner for going all white. I wore a pair of mom jeans with my white tee and threw on a blue tie-dye cape on top of it. I finished my look off with a pair of silver jhumkas and juttis. Office to Diwali party? Ready!
Day 4:
I still haven't gotten over the ripped jeans phase. I went classic on day four. A white tee and blue denims. But I wore an unbuttoned shirt dress on top of it with a belt. A pair of mules is all I needed to feel nostalgic about my outfit. After all, I am a 90's girl.
Day 5:
Friday and plans for drinks after office. Had to dress it up, didn't I? I went monochrome. White tee, black culottes. Black and white printed oversized mens shirt that I picked up from Zara for Rs 200 (YES, really). Black embroidered mules. And I was ready to start my weekend!
Can you believe I did all these looks with the same white tee?! That's how versatile this garment is.
P.S.: There's a video too. Go watch!
