As a kid, my mother always told me, you should always wear new clothes every Diwali. Now I don't know the reason behind this, but for me, it's become a tradition. How many of you are with me on this? For this Diwali, I've bought a saree. Yes, payed through my nose and a bought a gorgeous silk saree. But I haven't had the time to go to a tailor and get a blouse stitched. So now I'll just have to wear some old Diwali clothes. But, what if I don't have to? What if I tell you, I have solutions to this problem! YESSS. I do.
1. Get those crop tops out. A basic crop top goes about with everything and anything. Team up a nice strappy crop top with your saree and you're good to go. Or you can get one step ahead, and pair a striped crop top with a printed saree - it looks absolute bomb.
2. A bralette comes to the rescue. A bra? WHAT? No, we mean a bralette. They are an easy-going, softer, wireless version of a bra. They look absolutely sexy and you're just going to get that extra ooh-la-la this Diwali. Not burning crackers, doesn't mean you can't look like one, right?
3. Shirt it out. Of course you can wear a shirt with a saree. There's no limit to what all you can wear with a saree. You just need to experiment. And you're sorted. Accessorize heavy and you're good to go.
4. Drape your saree in a different way. There are a million ways you can drape your saree without a blouse. Here are 10 different ways you can copy. Imagine walking out of your house without a blouse?! We're loving the idea! Maybe this year, I'll actually do that since I don't have a blouse ready. *Wink wink*
