The year is coming to an end, time really does fly. And as Heidi Klum says, "In fashion, one day you're in, the next day you're out." holds true to trends too. This year was all about wild and whacky, and also a lesson in expect the unexpected. Who knows, maybe the hottest trends of today will have no place in our wardrobes tomorrow. So before we say goodbye to 2017, if you haven't already but you have the chance, you need to try these 7 trends.

A Super Exaggerated Pair Of Flare Pants

From Selena Gomez to Sonam Kapoor, every celeb has been spotted wearing a pair of flares. This 70s trend is a rage among the street style stars and is wearable enough for us common folks to try. They are extremely comfortable and perfect for any event that comes your way, brunch, dinner, work, party... You name it. Wear it with a pair of kitten heels and a structured top.

Pants Under Dresses Or Dresses Over Pants

Whatever you like to call it, it's a style we've been seeing everywhere. Flowy dresses and structured pants, or a structured dress with flare pants is the way to go. This is a great way to put your summer dresses to use in winter. Throw on a jacket and a pair of booties.

The Ultra Sexy Bralette

Go bare or cover up, this is another trend that is a must-try. Wear it as it is with a pair of high waisted pants or wear it on top of a shirt with jeans, you'll be turning heads with this one. It's a great alternative for bras too.

The Power Of Suits

For powerful women, we need a powerful ensemble, and that's where the suit pant trend steps in. Not restricted to men anymore, celebs have been seen wearing this trend on the red carpet as well. So nothing should stop you from wearing this to, say, your NYE bash. A well-structured pantsuit with maybe nothing below the blazer, a pair of heels and a bold red lip. YES!

Ruffles Everywhere

Frills have been big on every runway this year. A balance of femininity and sleekness is how you nail this trend, a frilled skirt with a structured top, a pair of sneakers and you're good to go. But don't over do it either, you don't want to end up looking like Ron (we hope you got the Harry Potter reference) at the Yule Ball!

Poofed Up Sleeves

Everything bigger is better, (pun intended), right ladies? Over the top and larger than life sleeves were the highlight of this year. However you like it -- shirts, blouses, dresses -- all of them were seen with poofed up or statement sleeves in 2017. These particular sleeves are the centre of your ensemble, so make sure you don't go overboard with the rest of the look or accessories. A simple pair of cropped jeans, a pair of hoop earrings and kitten heels. You're ready.

Statement Earrings

This is a perfect accessory to dress up your basics. Running late and don't have time to decide what to wear? Throw on a pair of earrings and don't worry about the rest. Everybody will be in awe of the earrings and no one will notice what you're wearing. Yes, that's the power they hold. Check some statement earrings on Caratlane.
