Besides being a talented performer on-screen, Kangana Ranaut never fails to wow us with her real life style quotient. And while Bollywood actress often opts for flouncy dresses and tailored trousers, she maintains a healthy balance by donning plenty of gorgeous ethnic wear, especially maxing her look when she wears a saree. Let’s face it, every time Kangana steps out in a 9-yard wonder looking like a dreamboat, you can be sure she’s featuring in every style report tomorrow. Kangana’s stellar saree game is unrivalled so here are nine of those times that she slayed the outfit with style.
For a string of movie promotions, Kangana Ranaut choose to up the glam with a deep blue Falguni & Shane Peacock net saree with a sheer mesh blouse. She kept her beauty look minimal with rosy cheeks and a vintage inspired rolled updo in her hair.
If there’s one diva who can carry off a saree with pure elegance, it’s this one. Here, Kangana wears a pastel mesh Sabyasachi saree with floral embroidery and a draped necklace. With it, she wears her hair in a sleek bun with a strong centre parting and a tiny black bindi, a look that’s come to be known as Sabyasachi’s signature.
For the starry Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli Mumbai reception, Kangana opted for gentle hues yet again in a gold kanjeevaram Sabyasachi saree and long sleeved cream blouse. With a side-swept bun, flowers in her hair and contoured cheeks, she made sure she shone through at the wedding.
At the Umang 2018 police show, she chose a green and gold Sabyasachi Kanjeevaram saree, a rust toned blouse, vintage South Indian choker and earrings from the same designer. With it, she paired bronze toned eye makeup, creamy peach lips and a touch of bronzer on the cheeks. Indian glam perfection, right here.
For a TV show appearance, she choose to go traditional with what else but a blue floral Sabyasachi saree and a wide-necked strappy blouse and Needle Dust juttis. Her curls were pulled back in a messy bun and a simple black bindi. Understated but never light on the style quotient, this stunner.
And she doesn’t shy away from bright sarees either. For a launch event, she chose a sunshine yellow saree and colour-blocked it with a teal blouse. Along with it, the statement necklace and jhumka earrings complemented the look beautifully.
Trust our girl Kangana to turn the saree into an edgy style statement. For movie promotions, she chose an all-black printed number which print-mixed exceptionally using different patterns. Keeping all the attention on her saree, she opted for side-swept curls and drop earrings.
Now this here is the very definition of grace. In a floral saree with a blue strappy blouse, Kangana Ranaut looks elegant as ever as she wears the traditional look with a heavy necklace, retro-inspired curls and pink lips.
Last but definitely not the least, Kangana shows us that simple really is the best. At a book launch, she wears a pink chiffon painted saree with a Dia choker necklace and curled updo. Subtle and delicate, yet not so much that it goes unnoticed, that’s what this look seems to say.
Thanks for the tips, Kangana Ranaut - we’re already making notes for our next traditional outing.
