Since the days of her Dabangg debut in 2010, Sonakshi Sinha has come a long way. She has experimented with her hair length (a rarity in Bollywood), movie choices and even her style has evolved considerably. These days, along with being the queen of Twitter clapbacks and long bobs, Sonakshi has found a friend in power suits. Whether it's been for her recent Welcome To New York promotions or event appearances, Sona slips into a suit with elan and gives the ensemble her signature flair so here are nine times she did just that.
For movie promotions, Sonakshi showed up in mustard yellow, the colour of the season, in the form of a double breasted buttoned Zara suit with long blazer, wide legged trousers and pointed pumps. Keeping the look slick, she paired it with straight centre-parted hair and peach lips.
For her appearance on the show Vogue BFFs, Sonakshi wore a powder blue Lavish Alice suit. The twist in this look is the bell sleeves and ruffled legs, which gives the outfit a touch of finesse. Bringing it together is a mid-length ponytail, silver earrings and sandals.
When it comes to suits, blue seems to be Sona's favourite shade. For more promotions, she wore a teal toned double breasted suit from Lavish Alice with a single off-shoulder detail that shakes it up from looking too formal. With it, she's wearing fitted trousers and nude pumps.
On the sets of a TV show, Sonakshi steered away from bright colours but still managed to keep it glam in a black Ashish N Soni sequined suit with assymtrical sleeves and chunky black pumps.
Her power suit phase is hardly a new addiction. In fact, Sonakshi Sinha has suited up many stylish times in the past as well. For an earlier appearance, Sonakshi donned a fitted red suit with bell sleeve detailing from Manika Nanda which were paired with peep-toes, a sleek low ponytail and red lips.
Even with her many suited up looks, she's made sure that they were never boring. Her navy blue Galia Lahav blazer and palazzo trouser set had plenty of finer details like arm cuffs, a lace bustier and a leather belt to take it up a few notches.
Yet again, Sona chose deep blue but with a much subtler take when she wore a House of CB low cut emsemble with a waist tie, lace bralette and strappy sandals. Giving it a chic touch was side-swept curls, plum lips and dark eye makeup.
Of course it wouldn't be a suit roundup without a crisp white number and Sonakshi made it her own in a fitted single breasted Nikhil Thampi suit. She paired this with silver pumps, straight hair and shimmery eye makeup.
Showing us that you don't need rules to wear a suit is Sonakshi Sinha in a laidback Ragini Ahuja rose toned long jacket with matching wide trousers. To keep it chilled yet chic, Sonakshi completes the look with pointed toe boots, a fringe bustier and bouncy curls.
From boardroom chic to relaxed cool, this girl certainly knows how to wear a suit.
