There's a new trend in tinsel town and it's catching on with the Bollywood stars like wildfire. You'd expect most trends to be about fitted silhouettes or monochrome palettes but this one is a little bit different. It's saucy, it's trendy and it actually has to do with a blouse and not an entire ensemble. Tara Sutaria has been busy promoting her upcoming film Tadap with Ahan Shetty in one fashionable look after the next. The last saw her wear the trend of the moment in a scarf-style blouse. With a halter neckline, Tara's blouse had a scarf-like style which was crossed over and knotted in the centre. She wore this with high waist navy blue bottoms and for that retro touch, oversized tinted sunglasses with her luscious locks in curls.
This weekend, Alia Bhatt made news for her statement-making lehenga at Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan's wedding. While the actress plays it safe with her sartorial selection, she picked a yellow lehenga which had the workings of a scarf-style look with a curved hemline sitting under the bust. While the fit of Alia's blouse left a lot to be desired, it brought the fashion trend into the spotlight.
But you know who is responsible of truly starting this trend? It's Radhika Madan. Back in September for movie promotions, Radhika picked a fitted black crop top which featured a scarf-style looped hemline. Fitted beautifully and also pairing well with her houndstooth trousers, we can see why this look has become so popular and we've got Radhika to thank for it.
