For the first time, at a newly done up H&M store, fashion enthusiasts have the opportunity to rent some stunning garments from the brand. Excited much? Wondering where is this store? There's a catch. You need to make your way to Stockholm, where the brand's Sergels Torg store that had been closed to customers for major refurbishment, is now open for an entirely new H&M experience.
These days, with the buzzword being 'experiences', Sergels Torg store aims to offer more to the customers as they step into the store. Other than the chic setting, done up in warm neutrals and lots of greenery, some of the highlights include self-service checkouts, several screen displays with H&MxME images featuring fashion stories of customers, the possibility to not only repair old fashion favourites with extended opening hours, but also a beauty bar and coffee trolley. At the H&M Beauty Bar by Dashl, customers can book services for hair, nails and make-up from 7.30 AM on weekdays.
For the members of H&M's customer loyalty program, the best part is saved, which is to be able to rent selected skirts and dresses from Conscious Exclusive collections. "We are really excited to try out rentals for the first time and inspire our customers to look at fashion in a circular way. Our Conscious Exclusive collections are made from sustainably sourced materials, so we feel they are perfect to kick off this trial with," said Maria Borger, head of womenswear design at H&M. The store is set to become a unique retail space in Stockholm, and hopefully the world over.
