Day 1 of the Cannes Film Festival 2023 ended with celebrities walking the red carpet looking their absolute best. It was undoubtedly a glorious affair from Sara Ali Khan's glorious lehenga from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla to Manushi Chhillar in a wedding gown from designer Fovari. The festival is scheduled from 16th to 27th May and will surely bring stellar fashion moments for the coming days. As Day 1 wraps up, we look at fashion moments from Bollywood's finest hour on the red carpet.
Sara Ali Khan took the desi route as she opted for an embroidered Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla creation. The lehenga had delicate threadwork and tiny embellishments with a lot of grace and charm. She wore a short-sleeved blouse with a plunging neckline in the same colour palette and carried a heavy work dupatta pinned as a veil.
Manushi Chhillar was a vision in white. The actress looked phenomenal in a striking white gown from designer Fovari's wedding collection. The strapless corseted bodice came with a beautiful trail to follow.
Esha Gupta made her Cannes debut in a Nicholas Jebran gown. The pastel flowy gown with a very daring thigh-high slit, a mesh neckline, and 3D floral embroidery was an elegant red carpet look. The minimal gown was complemented by glam makeup and a chic hairdo.
Farhana Bodi, an Indian influencer opted for a neon lime gown from the designer label Atelier Zuhra. The custom-made lemon feather gown came with a big bow and a 3-meter trail to follow. It also featured fringe-like embellishments over the strapless neckline.
Urvashi Rautela chose a pink tulle gown from Sima Couture for the Day 1 of the festival. The strapless number featured an embellished pink bodice, followed by a multi-layer ruffle skirt bottom and a gorgeous tulle train.
