Runways are where new spheres of fashion come to life and the Chanel Cruise 2023/2024 show in Los Angeles did just that. The French Fashion brand has never failed to put on a full display of high glamour. and this time the House showcased its latest collection at the Paramount Studios. An ode to playful L.A. glamour, the Resort 2024 collection showed the best of silhouettes on the runway, which was a blend of a cool aesthetic with a dash of the best high-end allure. With many 'feel-good' moments, Chanel's Cruise show brought resplendence to the runway with ombre accents, bubblegum hues and classic shimmer.
Boxy coats and jackets got a West Coast twist with glittering mirror ball appliques and chequered sequins lined with terry cloth, silk or scuba satin collars and all we have to say is 'oh my glam'.
The runway also saw an array of blends with coastal hues and ombres, some abstract watercolour prints of roller skaters, and billboard graphics embodying Virginie Viard's fresh and light-hearted take on California.
Flowing silhouettes are the spirit of California cool. Long flowy silhouettes with a dash of sparkle were also a hit on the runway.
The Cruise show also featured a sporty spirit with an athletic approach to fashion. With metallic comets and crystal, sequin and pearl embroidery detailing, black and white silhouettes will always remain a classic.
An array of celebrities and brand ambassadors also attended the show including Margot Robbie, G-Dragon, Kristen Stewart, Nile Rodgers and Marion Cotillard. Margot Robbie was seen in the front row wearing a pair of flared jeans, a chain-link Chanel vest, and a bikini top.
