The festive season has arrived with aplomb so cue up the sparklers, sweets and sparkling looks. To complement it all of course, you need the right ensemble. Each year round, finding your festive wear footing can be a grueling task. From keeping an eye on what's hot in Bollywood to taking a trip to the market to spot popular fabrics, selecting the right festive wear isn't always as easy as clicking 'add to cart' or swiping your card when you spot something in a storefront.
Fortunately, if there's one tastemaker you can rely on, it's designer Payal Singhal. Since establishing her eponymous label in 1999, it has been strength to strength for her. A popular name in Bollywood circles and frequenter at glitzy fashion weeks, Payal barely needs an introduction. From collaborating with beauty brands to bringing celebrity duos on the ramp, there's none she hasn't done. To add to her repertoire is PS Men, her menswear collection which is freshly launched at Curato. Right in time for the celebrations, we snuck Payal away for a few seconds to get her fashion tips to look phenomenal for the festivities.

If you're looking to step aside from a classical traditional look, opt for bohemian influences instead. "Boho clothing is currently trending right now on the circuit. You can add it into your look with the use of fringe and tassels," advises Payal. A fringe trimmed blouse with your lehenga is sure to make a splash.
Don't be afraid to move away from reds and golds for the season. Payal, who is known for her signature prints, says, "For women's wear, prints are making an impact right and with it, so are bright, neon pops of colour."
Tired of the same old sets this time around? Well, you don't have to be. Payal recommends mixing and matching as a key to working your festive look. By pairing them differently each time, you can make your outfits look brand new each time you wear them.
Sometimes you want just that one ensemble to make an impact, The one piece that Payal recommends for the festive season is the dhoti saree, a signature PS garment. "It's a super cool style that doesn't require any fuss so that you can have fun it in freely," signs off Payal.
