Coronation Day has arrived where King Charles III is finally crowned and ready to lead the British monarchy. The momentous day is being celebrated by dignitaries, ambassadors and celebrities who have arrived from all over the world. It's also a life-changing day for William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales. Kate has always made a mark with her royal fashion outings so a day as eventful as this one, couldn't be missed.
Kate Middleton was seen wearing a white Alexander McQueen gown, made of embroidered ivory silk crepe. Over it, her coronation robes consisted of a flowing cloak of dark blue silk satin with edges in red. It also included a hand-embroidered badge. Her hair was worn in a neatly twisted updo hairstyle and possibly the standout of her style came from her hair accessory. Across her head, Kate wore a silver dual-layered leaf-patterned headpiece, made by Jess Collett and Alexander McQueen.
Her accessories came from the pearl drop earrings in her ears. With a brown-toned eye and sweep of bronzer across her cheeks, Kate completed it with a mauve lip. The Princess of Wales has always hit the mark as far as stunning royal fashion statements have been concerned and this day has not been any different.
Along with Kate and William were their children Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte. Like her mother, the young princess matched her stunning mother in a white cape-style Alexander McQueen dress and also wore a dazzling crystal silver leaf headpiece from the same milliner across her hair, which was braided in a bun hairstyle.
Prince Harry was also in attendance at the coronation of his father King Charles III. However, his wife Meghan Markle skipped the function and stayed back in the USA as the event coincided with their son Prince Archie's birthday today when the young one turns 4. Also in attendance at the royal affair are American artist, Katy Perry, British actress Emma Thompson as well as Indian actress Sonam Kapoor.
