When it comes to fashion, everything sartorial becomes an education. And then there are fashion weeks where off the ramp and on the ramp, trends are set, fashion goals are doled out, and style is everywhere. So, after Amazon Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2018, which ended last Saturday, we decided to list out everything that we learnt at the season's show of designer wear and trends.
1. Monochromes are going to be big this season
From Samant Chauhan, to Pawan Sachdeva, to Gauri & Nainika and so many more, black-white-grey seemed to be big color palette for a lot of designers. We don't mind. Autumn does bring out our love for monochromes.

2. Floral is not out and won't be for a while
You would think that floral is just big for summer but apparently not. Karishma & Deepa Sondhi's show and, later, pero's show was testament to the fact that flowers are going to be big this Autumn-Winter too.

3. But there are also going to be pops of colors
A lot of outfits used a range of colors. We loved the use of pink for autumn wear at pero's show. Also, Anupama Dayal used a wide range of colours for her Lucknow-inspired collection.

4. Menswear is being revolutionised
Belted trousers, radical silhouettes, prints, cowled neck tunics, heavy layering, embroidered jackets - menswear is not limited anymore and thank the designers for that. Trickle down stat, please?

5. Indian handloom is at a point of no return, and we are thrilled about it
So many designers like Ilk, Abraham & Thakore, Aarti Vijay Gupta used not just Indian fabric but also Indian motifs and prints. We spoke to Rohit Bal later and he reiterated how Indian handloom is so popular right now.

6. Vaani Kapoor looks as sexy in a dress as she does in a suit
She walked for two designers who collaborated for one show and boy, did she look fab - as much so in a Gauri and Nainika gown as she did in a Bond-style Ashish N Soni suit.

See you next season, folks.
