Isha Ambani's appreciation for Indian couture makes her an elegant ethnic queen. Her selection of ethereal silhouettes has often stolen the spotlight and one such majestic piece was her wedding lehenga; which to date, is a conversation starter among fashion fanatics. Her traditionally charming Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla lehenga was a creation that has forever found a place in our hearts. Isha's knack for Indian details was beautifully put together in her wedding ensemble. The magical choice featured remarkable craftsmanship. While the well-detailed lehenga caught our attention, the process was even more intricate. The designer duo only recently gave us a glimpse of the process of curating Isha's lehenga in a video posted on their Instagram.
In December 2018, Isha Ambani tied the knot with Anand Piramal at Antilia in Mumbai. The couple now has two kids named Aadiya and Krishna. It was on the auspicious occasion of her wedding that the fashion sphere had its eyes on her lehenga which the designer created this bridal masterpiece for. According to the Instagram caption by Abu-Sandeep, her lehenga featured a 16-panelled ghagra in 2 shades of off-white. Further, the trail added an elegant touch to the look. Richly crafted, each panel was finely hand embroidered with Mughal jaalis, and floral panels placed alternatively in the finest zardozi, vasli, mukaish and nakshi work.
One can see the finest of creations coming to life with every weave. The caption also mentioned that every flower and jaali in the lehenga was highlighted with crystals and sequins. Vermilion, the iconic bridal hue, features in the zardozi borders, lending an auspiciousness to the ensemble.Comments
Isha Ambani's heavy-duty bridal lehenga strayed away from the signature approach and instead, stood out at its best. The designer went all out with kalis and florals that made it a fabulous timeless piece.
