Velvet is quite a versatile fabric. It is perhaps one of the most glamorous and stylish fabrics out there. Be it in the form of a jacket, a dress, or a traditional suit, one can wear velvet in so many ways. If you need a little inspiration to try the fabric out, check out Rakul Preet Singh in her elegant and classy black velvet kurta set from the clothing brand Sureena Chowdhri. Her outfit included a silk velvet kurta and palazzo set. The zardozi hand-embroidered motifs spread across the kurta were the wow factor. Rakul added drama to the ensemble with a contrasting sea green organza dupatta, intricately embroidered and scalloped to perfection. A black jutti and chandbalis accessorised her traditional fit. Rakul opted for a matte makeup finish.

Rakul Preet Singh made us fall in love with the ethnic closet in this hand-painted mustard anarkali set, by Archana Jaju. The Chanderi silk fabric was laced with kalamkari and mirrorwork. Her outfit featured three-fourth sleeves and a scoop neckline. She teamed it with a similar print and design dupatta. Rakul Preet kept it minimal with silver and golden earrings, open tresses, mascara on the eyelashes and pink lips.
Trust Rakul to add all the bling to the traditional closet. Take a look at her silver Seema Gujral lehenga? The ensemble featured a net lehenga that featured a mix of geometric patterns all over. It was teamed with a strappy blouse that had tassels around the waist and a four-sided net dupatta. A diamond choker-style necklace and bracelet worked wonders.
Rakul Preet Singh's fashion picks also include this beautiful sharara set from the shelves of Ritika Mirchandani. Her lime number was laced with ivory-toned embroidery. The plunging neckline and midriff-baring details gave a stylish touch to the desi fit. Statement chandbalis for accessories, open tresses, and then a minimal glam.
