With the buzzword being sustainable fashion, it clearly is the need of the hour as we take a step towards environment friendly initiatives. Adding more weightage to the issue is also our Bollywood divas like Katrina Kaif, who have been making a chic case for slow fashion by picking gorgeous creations, painstakingly handmade by local artisans. Recently Katrina Kaif showed us how to keep up with glamorous style statements and stay tuned with sustainable fashion in a salwar suit that featured a vibrant pink hue, more popularly rani pink.
Katrina Kaif wore a breezy salwar suit by Anita Dongre in a colourpop pink hue. What added charm to it were the beautiful floral block prints and silver thread work. This garment was designed in association with SEWA (Self Employed Women's Association) to sustain the intricate craft of hand-embroidery and create local employment opportunities for rural women artisans from Indian villages, thus empowering every village to become a self-sustaining unit.

Some time back, Katrina Kaif had stunned in another gorgeous outfit from the same designer. For an event in Mumbai, Katrina Kaif wore a red block printed saree titled Harisha Saree by designer Anita Dongre. Drawing inspiration from the magical forests of Ranthambore in Rajasthan, the red saree featured traditional floral printed motifs that added to its charm. Katrina teamed her saree with statement gold drop earrings and a red bindi to keep it simple yet chic.
