Independence Day 2022: The Spirit Of Patriotism Lies In A White Kurta For These Bollywood Stars

Independence Day celebrations are ringing for the country's 75th year and Bollywood chimes into the festivities in the best way they know - stylishly. But it doesn't take fancy festive clothes for them to do so. A white kurta suffices when it comes to wearing the tricolour with pride and Bollywood needed no other excuse other than their annual appreciation for the motherland to put on their favourite white kurta. The simple white kurta can take many forms but with our beloved flag is our favourite and some of our favourite Bollywood stars agree and did just that to celebrate 75 years of independence of the country.

Janhvi Kapoor took to her 'gram posing with the flag and dressed in a white cotton chikankari kurta. Her hair and makeup was minimal but impactful - typical Janhvi behavior.

Chikankari kurtas are a favourite and are back in the bay for their effortless grace and comfort factor. All of which are bonus points for Anushka Sharma who poses happily in one with her hubby Virat Kohli by her side.

Nothing brings out the colours and spirit of the flag than a white kurta that's for sure and even Malavika Mohanan's plain white kurta will agree.

A plain white kurta is great but a gorgeous white suit is absolutely fabulous. Keerthy Suresh hops onto being her fabulous self in a white suit that only she could do so much justice to.

Sonal Chauhan too didn't settle for just one white kurta but a full white suit to graciously celebrate the big day.

But as much as we love a plain white kurta, we can't rule out the endless possibilities of a jazzy white kurta set with a touch of green to make a fashionable impression. Right, Palak?
