The recent big news in India is the US president Donald Trump's India visit with his family. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed them in Ahmedabad on Monday in all grandeur as people across the country were eagerly waiting for Trump's first India visit. The internet is flooded with images of the Trump family members as they attended various ceremonies and made a visit to the Taj Mahal. Along with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, the attention was also on White House senior advisor Ivanka Trump.
On Day 2 of their India visit, Ivanka Trump attended a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan where she instantly caught everyone's attention in a stunning sherwani by Indian designer Anita Dongre. In a crisp white, full-sleeved bandhgala sherwani made out of handwoven silk from Murshidabad, West Bengal, we loved how Ivanka Trump picked an Indian ethnic wear to make a chic style statement.
Speaking about the garment, Anita Dongre said, "Ivanka is wearing a sherwani made out of handwoven silk from Murshidabad, West Bengal. It is timeless, and such a classic - We created this style 20 years ago and it's amazing to see how beautifully relevant it is even today. A powerful, standout silhouette, a sherwani carries the same charisma in absolutely any colour but my personal favourites are the evergreen blue, white and black."
Ivanka Trump paired her graceful sherwani with ivory straight paints and she completed her look with matching pointed toe heels. She went for straight sleek hair and minimal makeup which made for an understated yet elegant look.
Ivanka Trump was all about pretty florals on the very first day she was in India. She looked absolutely stunning with a pretty floral dress by Proenza Schouler while visiting the Taj Mahal. Ivanka wore this outfit for the second time, after her first appearance in a diplomatic visit to Argentina last year. This time, she teamed it with statement earrings and colourpop red pumps to reuse this beautiful dress.
