Karwa Chauth was celebrated with much love and grandeur across the country, on October 13. And, Bollywood was no exception. The stars didn't hold back when it came to the festivities. While many like Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal celebrated the day at home with family, Anil Kapoor's wife Sunita Kapoor, much like every year, hosted a lavish get-together for her “Karwa Chauth Gang”. However, one thing was common across all Karwa Chauth celebrations. Can you guess? Bollywood divas were decked up in their festive best. Shilpa Shetty was “red-dy” to say “dekho chand aaya” in a sindoor-red signature Qila saree. The classic drape, from the shelves of designer Gopi Vaid, featured delicate gold embroidery. Shilpa paired the saree with a sleeveless blouse that screamed opulence and grandeur. Along with a handful of bangles and the mangalsutra, Shilpa wore a emerald necklace. Her makeup was on-point and her manes were left open in soft waves.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal celebrated their “pehla (first) Karwa Chauth.” Katrina looked stunning as ever in the desi avatar. She wore a pink saree, which came with a wide patti of golden work at the border as well as subtle floral work. Katrina teamed the ethnic wonder with a half-sleeve floral printed blouse that featured a plunging neckline. Red and white bangles along with a pair of statement earrings made her Karwa Chauth ready. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal was his handsome self in an off-white kurta pyjama set, that had golden leaf-work all over.
Mouni Roy's love affair with saree is well known. For the auspicious occasion, the actress picked a mesh number with delicate designer work and a golden patti border. Mouni paired the ethnic drape with a strappy blouse. Accessories? Traditional jhumkas and red bangles. Hairdo? A sleek bun adorned with red flowers. On the other hand, Suraj Nambiar was decked up in a white kurta pyjama. It was the first Karwa Chauth for Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar as well.
Even though Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja are not a fan of Karwa Chauth, the actress likes to get ready and be a part of the festive get-togethers. Sonam slipped into a green and pink Tussar Katha embroidery ghagra with kanjeevaram border and organza badla dupatta. The ensemble was from Gaurang Shah's fashion outlet. Pair of statement earrings and a golden necklace accessorised Sonam Kapoor's outfit.
For Raveena Tandon, “kesariya is the rang for the season.” Raveena looked stunning in a mustard organza saree, which was paired with a chanderi blouse detailed with light gold and aari work. She picked a heavy neckpiece with green and white stones, a pair of earrings, and a handful of bangles. Her tresses were in a bun, adorned with gajra.
Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh are made for each other. And these love-filled pictures are proof. We cannot miss mentioning how adorable the duo looked in their festive wear. While Neha Kakkar wore a red suit set that had golden floral prints, Rohanpreet picked a chocolaty brown kurta pyjama set. For accessories, Neha went with choker necklace, maang tika, pair of earrings, and a bunch of red bangles. Makeup was on-point and her manes were left open.
Varun Dhawan twins with his wifey Natasha Dalal in an all-pink ensemble. Varun's kurta pyjama set had golden thread work, and on the other hand, Natasha wore a co-ord set with a cape featuring polka-dot design. Cute, isn't it?
Rubina Dilaik gave us a glimpse of her “chand” husband Abhinav Shukla. The actress picked a stunning purple-colour velvet suit with flared sleeves. For accessories, Rubina wore a subtle pair of earrings. But what stole the show was her nosepin. Meanwhile, Abhinav wore a light blue kurta pyjama set and paired it with a golden-colour jutti.
Disha Parmar and Rahul Vaidya kept things simple. Disha wore a pink salwar suit set, which came with golden embellishments. On the other hand, Rahul teamed blue jeans with white shirt.
It is safe to say, Bollywood stars had put their best sartorial foot for Karwa Chauth celebrations.Comments
