Trust Bollywood style icon Malaika Arora to set goals wherever she goes. Just as we were taking notes on how to nail party looks diva style with her ultra glamorous style statements - from mirror work mini dresses for her birthday party to attention grabbing neon pieces for an MTV India event - Malaika has now taken the ethnic route to show us how to have fun with sarees this season. While saree trends like floral, pastel and Benarasi have been doing the rounds, Malaika brings in yet another way to nail ethnic looks by glamming up in a Patola saree. Oh wait, and also adding in a Boho vibe.

While attending the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2020 in Mumbai on Thursday evening, Malaika Arora was a showstopper in a colourful Patola saree by designer Sangeeta Kilachand. The vintage Patan Patola saree came adorned with intricate handwoven marodi embroidery and the quirky Indian patterns further added to its charm. Patola, which was once reserved only for royals, is a double ikat woven saree usually made of silk. Needless to say, a Patola saree never fails to steal the attention, and Malaika further adds to its regality by accessorising it right.
