It's the first Monday in May 2020 and if life as we knew it pre-Coronavirus had continued, today would have been the 2020 Met Gala with the theme About Time: Fashion and Duration. Unfortunately none of that panned out and the prestigious event was cancelled. Fashion fans may not have any new #MetGala content to go on but we can always throwback, can't we? We're taking a trip down memory lane to the 2019 Met Gala with our favourite celebrity looks including Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
We're revisiting the 2019 Met Gala with 8 of our favourite fashion looks.
Kim Kardashian wore a nude toned Manfred Thierry Mugler dress with mind-bending nipped waist and a soaked look which had the illusion of raindrops dripping off her with 500 hand sewn crystals. Her hair extended the feel and combined with a bronze toned glam makeup look.
Jennifer Lopez wore a sparkling Versace dress with paillettes, glittering accessories and a plunging neckline. The ensemble was in sync with a matching veil and silver smokey eyes.
Sisters Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner wore lavender and tangerine tones on the pink carpet. Kylie wore a feathered purple naked dress with matching hair colour and Kendall wore an orange strap number with an exaggerated feathered back.
Lady Gaga turned heads with not 1 or 2 but 4 outfit changes at the Met Gala. They included black and pink gowns, a slim fuchsia dress and black 2-piece by Brandon Maxwell.
Cara Delevingne wore a rainbow striped Dior jumpsuit with a cane, orange fluorescent stripe running across her face and kitsch head gear.
Katy Perry lit up the carpet in a bejewelled Moschino dress with a circle of candles and head gear with more candles to resemble a chandelier.
Ezra Miller wore a pinstriped suit with a train and jewelled bodice. His makeup look included multiple sets of eyes and completely stole the show.
Jared Leto wore a red Gucci ensemble with a jewelled body chain. It was his accessory that had all eyes on him; he carried a replica of his own head on the pink carpet!
