While the beginning of Mira Rajput Kapoor's red carpet graph always saw her accompanying her actor husband, Shahid Kapoor, to events, lately Mira Rajput Kapoor seems to be taking every other red carpet by storm and often all by herself. The Hello! Hall Of Fame Awards held last night in Mumbai was one of many such events. While Mira's actor husband Shahid is busy shooting for his upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Mira attended the Hello! Hall Of Fame Awards solo - and sure enough, she has fashion enthusiasts intrigued and talking about her unconventional attire for the evening.
Mira walked the red carpet in a deconstructed saree dress by designers Shantanu and Nikhil. Her strapless saree dress was belted around the waist and completed with fitted, straight black pants underneath. Mira wore nothing but studded earrings as accessories and kept her hair straight and sleek. Her makeup was kept minimal as well, with a winged liner, flushed cheeks and barely tinted lips.
While Mira managed to look perfectly stylish and pull off this unusual garment with panache, she surprised most with her choice. Mira's red carpet looks in the past have been stylish, but always leaning towards simple and elegant rather than bold and sexy. Well, last night Mira definitely seems to have pulled out the latter from her wardrobe with this strapless number.
Here are some of Mira's looks from past red carpet appearances and events.
Only a few days ago Mira attended a store launch wearing a white floral anarkali from SVA couture.
Mira and Shahid made heads turn and eyes pop in January when they attended the HT Style awards together. Mira wore a racer back white gown from Monisha Jaising with star shaped cutouts down the side and absolutely stole the show.
Mira also attended the IIFA awards and the HELLO! Hall of Fame Awards last year with her husband in a Swapnil Shinde orange gown and a salmon pink gown from Monisha Jaising respectively.
Safe to say that Mira's pick last night was different from her usual - and we can't say we're complaining.
Mira Rajput Kapoor might only be related to Bollywood and the world of showbiz indirectly, but the rate at which this Delhi girl's popularity sore post her marriage to actor Shahid Kapoor, has been tremendous. Mira Kapoor, in spite of being married to one of Bollywood's leading stars, has managed to carve a place for herself, quite early on. Although unlike many other star wives, Mira hasn't yet dived into a business of her own, but she has somehow always managed to stay in the limelight - most often, thanks to her natural sense of style.
