Black gowns simply don't go out of style, no matter what time or trends may suggest. History has seen some of the most iconic black dresses find iconic status; from Audrey Hepburn's Givenchy number in Breakfast At Tiffany's to Angelina Jolie's thigh baring gown on the red carpet. So picking a black dress to make an appearance on the red carpet is always a good idea. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan knew that and did exactly that. The Hollywood actress attended the red carpet season premiere of Never Have I Ever, in which she stars in the main role. The Canadian actress took the opportunity to showcase yet another scintillating black dress.
Maitreyi wore a flowing black satin dress on the red carpet. It featured a halter neckline and cowl neck with pleats along the waist of the dress. From then on, the dress had a flowing fall with its length draping around her ankles. Adding to the risque factor of Maitreyi's look was a slit down the front of its length that reached until the thigh. Worn with the dress was a pair of black strappy heels.
Maitreyi wore her hair in a mid-length ponytail with two sections left loose in the front. Her eyes were winged out in jet black with the rest of her face kept muted. Her silver nose ring and silver earrings were a prominent part of her look. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan's take on the black dress certainly is a feisty one.
