Shilpa Shetty is, inarguably, a fashion icon and each of her sartorial outings make us sit up and take notice. From gorgeous ethnic wear to bodycons and even casuals, there's no outfit that Shilpa doesn't rock. And her latest look is one that has bowled her fans over, and also holds the promise of becoming a red hot trend with fashionistas who love giving a modern twist to the elegant six years. The actress shared pictures of herself wearing a Reeti Arneja purple tie-dye co-ord saree set with minimalistic tribal embroidery details. The knee-high split amps up Shilpa's sculpted figure. For accessories, she opted for a pair of silver dangler earrings (we love how they graze her gorgeous collar bone) and a set of chunky, oxidised bangles on her left wrist. Her choice of footwear was on point too – transparent strappy high heels. Shilpa called it a mix of many styles. "A little vintage, a little contemporary. A little classic, a little trendy,” read the caption.
Swirlster Picks Tie-Dye Sarees
This is not the first time that Shilpa has stepped out in a unique saree ensemble. Her fashion sense adds new meaning to the ways in which the saree is styled. Look at her raising the temperature in this smouldering double-pallu cocktail saree. The smooth orange tones are perfectly styled with geometric earrings and bracelets.
What about a bright yellow jumpsuit saree? Shilpa says yes, please! And when she did, we simply couldn't get over her look. She rocked a stunning Qbik ensemble, teaming it up with an intricately designed waist belt.
Even a traditionally-draped saree looks ethereal on Shilpa. In one photo, we see her in a blue saree with ethnic artwork prints. The pink streaks elevate the look and so does her plunging blouse. We love her kundan choker neckpiece and her set of bracelets. Dewy makeup with a winged eyeliner is just the icing on the cake.
Since we are talking about sarees, how can we miss Shilpa's vintage look in a polka dot drape? In one of her earlier photos, she is styled like a 70s heroine, sporting a black-and-white polka dot saree and matching hair ribbon. The black bangles and elaborate hairdo instantly take us to a bygone era. Her sharp eyeliner and red lip colour make her look like a diva.
We are absolutely in love with Shilpa's experiments with sarees and bet you are too!
