How many times have you envisioned yourself waking up in the morning, grabbing a cuppa and heading straight to work in your jammies? The number would be countless, we're sure. So you'll be glad to know there's actually a day when that's permissible. April 16 is marked as 'National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day' on the fun list of holidays that the United States acknowledges. And who better to give us this PSA than the lovely Priyanka Chopra? And here's a PSA of our own, in case you didn't know - Priyanka just signed her next Bollywood film and it's a biggie: Bharat, starring Salman Khan.
But back to jammies. Priyanka Chopra posted a video of herself taking a gleeful leap outside her trailer, without giving a damn about the fact that her work mates just might have missed the memo about the day dedicated to sleep wear. Well, if we were that comfy during our workdays (instead of adjusting our blouses and trousers for the hundredth time), we'd probably jump for joy too.
Priyanka is goals on many levels and choosing comfort over style is one of them. So even if celebrating pajama day at work might not work for many of us, she's previously presented us with a smart solution. Remember bammies? If it doesn't ring a bell, it combines business and jammies for a sneaky solution to wear sleep wear outside while still looking presentable.
Not convinced? This look of Priyanka, a striped grey Jason Wu pajama suit, just might change your mind. The way she wears the relaxed number; with large waves and bronze cheeks, really pulls it together.
There was also the time she dressed her satin nightwear up a bit and wore it to the Grammy Awards with feather trims, a bustier and bold makeup.
That's all the inspiration you need to slip into your pajama suit the next time it rolls around. If your workmate looks at you quizzically, tell him it's a thing. Priyanka Chopra said so herself.
