Remember all those times when, as a child, you would sit and watch your mother dress up? She would use all sorts of makeup essentials to turn into this beautiful queen you read about in fairy tales. And then you would be so tempted to try it all out on yourself. And when you were a little older, there were days dedicated to all those homemade besan and haldiface packs. I distinctly remember my sisters and mother going about their Sunday mornings with a do-it-yourself face mask on their face. And today, I have Priyanka Chopra to thank for this trip down memory lane. Surprised? Don't be. In the second episode of the series 'Little Black Book of Wellness' with Bazaar USA, Priyanka takes us to her numero uno skin care specialist: her mom. When it comes to style, fashion and wellness advice, our mothers have a huge role to play. And it is no different for Priyanka Chopra, influential celebrity as she may be.
"My mom is the most important person in my Little Black Book. Since she was a little girl she always took care of her skin and made me realise since I was a little girl the importance of it," Priyanka tells Bazaar. "As I grew older I realised how much these little tricks and these amazing secrets that she had were integral to my skin."

This is also an episode where some honest truths are shared. "As a teenager, I had a lot of self-esteem issues, I was very concerned about how I look and I didn't feel beautiful," Priyanka shares. "AND a tomboy on top of that. You were climbing up trees, climbing up walls," quips Priyanka's mother, Dr Madhu Chopra, making us smile as Priyanka hides her face in her Givenchy sweatshirt.
Are you going "Same!" right about now? We are.
Priyanka goes on to share that it took her quite some time to realise that she was beautiful. Unlike her mom. Her mother says she knew it all along, and so did everyone around her. Well, mothers! And probably also why her mother is her go-to person for beauty advice.

"She is incredible, she knows how to have quick fixes for your skin," Priyanka tells Bazaar.
So what DOES Priyanka Chopra use to clean out her skin?
"I use organic coconut oil, which is amazing. Keep it on the face for a couple of minutes and then take a moist hand towel, put that in hot water, and then rub it on the skin gently. It exfoliates and hydrates at the same time, and just takes off all your makeup," the actress reveals.
And homemade face mask?
"I think ubtanis one of my favourite fixes." And then, behold as Priyanka and her mother go about giving us a masterclass in how to make an ubtanface mask at home. Watch your way to better skin right here.

"I feel like you have all of these tricks. But like these passed down through generations of Indian women because it is such an old culture," Priyanka tells her mother.

Hold it. There is more. If you are wondering what helps Priyanka Chopra keep her lips lush and plump, wait no more. "Rosewater and sugar, so simple. You might even put rose petals if you want the pink to be in there," shares Priyanka's mom.
"Or if you want to be like Cleopatra," adds Priyanka Chopra.
We hear ya, Priyanka, we hear ya.
