It's no surprise that the saree is one of Bollywood's go-to outfits. The traditional six yards is practically a staple in celebrity circles that comes out frequently at event appearances and festive parties. But what does come as a surprise is when it's worn with a twist, which Shilpa Shetty seems to be a professional at. Besides being known for her enviable physique and healthy lifestyle, Shilpa's style sense never fails to make an impact. It's her especially unique styling of the traditional saree that grabs eyeballs time and again, with never before fabrics or quirky drapes so here are the seven times she's slayed the offbeat saree look.

Trust Shilpa to bring together trending elements like ruffles and off-shoulders in a single saree. In a Shantanu and Nikhil saree, she wears a striped off-shoulder blouse with bell sleeves and a white saree with gold trim. Shilpa paired the unique look with an emerald choker and shiny locks.

One of the most legendary styling tips Shilpa Shetty has taught us is the saree belt. Here, she wears a blue and white cropped patterned saree by Ragini Ahuja with a tan strap blouse and a thin leather belt pulling it together at the mid-riff. The next time you're worried about your pallu slipping, this should do the trick.

With this look, Shilpa went ahead and coined the term 'traditional casual' because this saree says just that. Her striped Urvashi Kaur saree consists of a striped collared shirt with a matching skirt with a solid beige dupatta. Keeping the rest of her look breezy, Shilpa paired it with sandals, a clutch and Suhani Pittie earrings.

Thought she was done? Not quite. In her next formal look, Shilpa wears a gold toned saree with a shimmery organza base, ruffled hem and high neckline topped with a slate grey pallu draped over her shoulder. Not our favourite of them all but full points for experimenting.

Denim isn't just for baggy jeans and can be worn as a saree too, as proved by Shilpa Shetty. Wearing an amazing denim saree from White Elephant by Mayyur Girotra, Shilpa paired the neatly pleated fashion wonder with a printed cropped blouse and a matching flower in her hair.

In what could be a costume from Fifty Shades Freed, Shilpa wears what looks like a green toned saree with, surprise surprise, trousers. Along with it, the Shantanu and Nikhil outfit also has camouflage print and leather belted accents. Safe to say that all eyes were only on Shilpa at this appearance.

There goes Shilpa Shetty giving elegance a new name while showing off her jaw-dropping curves. She wears a lavender toned Falguni & Shane Peacock saree which consists of a beaded cutout blouse that almost resembles a bodysuit with a matching drape and a feather trim. She kept accessories minimal with a ring, bracelet and dangling earrings.
