We've all decided to throw half of our jackets, bags or trousers away because the zippers wouldn't budge. And obviously, our mothers always come to the rescue with candle wax. But are there other products that can be used to fix a stubborn zipper? Of course!
1. Talcum powder, baby powder comes to the rescue yet again. Sprinkle some on the troublesome area and see how effortlessly the zipper moves!
2. I'm sure you'll find a pencil lying around somewhere. Rub the graphite side of the pencil on the zipper and ta-da.
3. Vaseline - yes, apparently it smoothens not only your lips but zippers too. Apply somewhere the zipper is stuck and see the difference for yourself.
4. Soap. A bar soap, not the liquid ones. It's safe for all fabrics. Just rub a little on the problem areas to see results.
5. Crayons, or anything wax based actually. Never did you realize you'll be using crayons as an adult, did you? You can actually teach this trick to your kids too. Mishaps in school can be avoided like a boss!
And for all of you whose zippers won't stay in one place, attach a circular key ring to the slider and pull over your button. No more 'oh-crap' moments. An elastic rubber band looped into the slider can come in handy too.
Moving on to the times when you oversleep and can't find a single garment which is wrinkle-free. You really DON'T have the time to iron them now. What do you do? Follow these hacks and you can save time!
1. Save time by unwrinkling your garment while taking your hot (steamy) morning shower. Just hang the garment near your shower and wait for the steam to work its magic!
2. Are your collars and cuffs too wrinkled to be worn? Put your straightener to use. This is great for when you're travelling and don't have access to an iron.
3. Or just throw in a couple of ice cubes and your garment into the dryer. Weird? Nope. The dryer will turn the ice cubes into steam, releasing the wrinkles from your garment.
4. Spray some water on your garment and tug from all ends, the garment will straighten out, just like that. It won't be perfect, of course, but we think you'll be able to work with it.
