Rashmika Mandanna is topping the charts and for good reason, too. With an Instagram following crossing 30 million and a number of phenomenal films in her kitty, the film actress is one of the most popular faces around. Her fashion and beauty statements have made her quite an icon too so it didn't come as a surprise when Rashmika was appointed brand ambassador for EVA. NDTV Swirlster spoke to Rashmika Mandanna about what essentials make the cut for her beauty kit as well as memories associated with certain fragrances for her.
NDTV Swirlster: Why is deodorant a must-have in your beauty kit?
Rashmika Mandanna: For the most part, my days are spent on the move. As an actor, I'm constantly on the go; be it shooting, promoting or just planning my next project. With a packed schedule, I need a trusted partner in keeping my fresh while putting my best foot forward. In a single spritz, you can go from conscious to confident and that's why a deodorant is definitely a must have for every girl. I love EVA deodorants because of the wide variety of fragrances they offer; almost like a scent for every mood.
NDTV Swirlster: What is your special memory associated with a fragrance?
Rashmika Mandanna: I think I've always had interesting moments with fragrances while growing up; be it notes of petrol at the gas station or the alchemic notes of my nail polish primer. I've also adored the rustic smell of library books. But the most fond memory I have is the sweet smell of the mogra strung together on a small thread that adorns the heads of women. It's ravishing!

NDTV Swirlster: What three beauty items are always in your bag?
Rashmika Mandanna: My lipstick, deodorant and lip-drench. Always remember, lip-drench before the lipstick!
NDTV Swirlster: How do you avoid letting the hot and humid weather affect your skin?
Rashmika Mandanna: Sunscreen is my best friend! The number one step in every makeup routine is to layer up on sunscreen and then go in with other products. Another step I routinely follow is to cleanse my face as soon as I'm back from the sun. Lastly, hydration is key for your skin as well as your body. So water up!
NDTV Swirlster: What features do you look for when you purchase a deodorant?
Rashmika Mandanna: Apart from being value for money, I always consider the fragrant notes of a deodorant. These notes can be floral, fruity or woody, as long as the fragrance lasts for a longer duration of time. I also am constantly on the lookout for beauty and personal care products that don't harm my skin. EVA's 0% alcohol aerosols make sure my skin is always nourished and free of harmful chemicals.
NDTV Swirlster: What is your favorite beauty tip to stay fresh in every season?
Rashmika Mandanna: Stay fresh on the outside to feel fresh and confident on the inside. Always have your trusted deodorant in your bag and wipes as well to dab your makeup in place on a humid day.
