Mizoram has been declared as the happiest state in India and research conducted by Rajesh K Pillania, a professor of strategy at the Management Development Institute in Gurugram, highlighted a few factors that make this Northeastern state the happiest in the entire country. Mizoram, which is the second state in India to achieve 100 percent literacy, offers students growth opportunities even in the most difficult of circumstances, according to a report by the news agency ANI.

The happiest state in India-Mizoram
"A student of the Government Mizo High School (GMHS) in Aizwal, Mizoram, had faced many difficulties since his father abandoned his family when he was young. Despite this, he remains optimistic and excels in his studies. He hopes to become a chartered accountant or appear for civil services exams if his first choice does not work out," the report said. The study also suggests that Mizoram's happiness index is based on six parameters i.e. family relationships, work-related issues, social issues and philanthropy, religion, Covid-19's effect on happiness, and physical and mental health. 1. High Literacy Rate
The state's literacy rate is 100 percent. Due to this, the population is well aware of their social conditions and works towards improving their lives with the available resources. It offers students opportunities for growth even in the most difficult of circumstances,

The students start earning very young in Mizoram, making them financially independent. Due to this, they can also pursue the career of their choice.
3. Equal Social Status
The report also suggested that no task is considered small or big in Mizoram and equal opportunities are given to girls and boys alike. Equal social status greatly affects the state's success and happiness.
4. Friendly Schooling
At the high school level, teachers in the state regularly meet the students and their parents to discuss the problems faced by the students, their growth prospects, etc. Children also feel secure in sharing their problems with their teachers and parents.
5. Financial Independence
Even though there are many broken families in the state, the children usually grow up looking at their working mothers. From a very young age, children are taught to make a living. This gives them a lot of financial independence in their adult years.
