No matter where you spend most of your time, your bedroom is definitely a place you spend a lot of time in. Your bedroom is your safe haven; it's the last place you see before you sleep and the first place you see when you wake up. On a lazy day, it might even be the only place you see at all. Making sure that a space you spend that much time in is positive, healthy and happy is very important. So no matter what you're busy doing, making sure that your bedroom is healthy should be a priority. You might have spent a lot of time and energy in trying to make your bedroom look beautiful, but underneath that pretty facade there could be health hazards you haven't thought of. Here are a few things to do to make your bedroom a healthier space.
1. Dust away
Not only does your bedroom need brooming on the regular, it also needs to be dusted. We're talking table tops, your television, those photo frames hanging on your wall, corners of window sills. These are all things one often overlooks, but they collect dust too. So at least twice a week, take a dusting cloth and get cleaning.
2. Wash and change your bedding
The amount of dust, dead skin and grime that your bed collects is rather horrifying. Problems from asthma to acne can stem from something as inane as not changing your bedding often enough. Luckily, there is a solution to this and it is as simple as just changing your bedsheets and pillow covers at least once in two weeks.
3. Keep your devices as far away as possible
Possibly outside your bedroom. Your phone might be hard to leave out, but do try and at least keep your laptop, printer, or any other such office apt devices outside of your bedroom. Other than the fact that research has shown that certain laser printers emit high and dangerous concentrations of tiny particles into the air, keeping all of this in your bedroom will also just cramp up your space and make you lazy at the same time.
